Eric Lartey
Landscape Restoration Manager, Ghana Cocoa Belt
Eric Lartey is the Landscape Restoration Manager for the Ghana Cocoa Belt. He manages and leads landscape restoration activities in the Ghana Cocoa Belt. Besides program leadership and implementation, he supports partnership development, administration and fundraising activities.
Prior to joining WRI, Eric served the Ghana Wildlife Society (a BirdLife Partner in Ghana) and Friends of the Earth-Ghana in capacities as Executive Director and Associate Director respectively. Eric has led fundraising, development and project management for several complex forest-related multi-country and transboundary projects bordering on governance, conservation and restoration, with funding from multiple donors. He has also served in consultant positions at GIZ, Rainforest Alliance and Cowater International.
Eric has a master's degree in tropical forestry from Bangor University in Wales and a master's degree in development policy and planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana.
Eric spends his spare time hiking and exploring nature.
