Yasar W Khan is a Project Manager and India Liaison with the Global Restoration Initiative. He is a climate and sustainability professional with over six years of experience designing and delivering climate resilience, green finance and digital initiatives across public, private and nonprofit sectors.

Before joining WRI Europe, Yasar worked with WRI India on resilience, climate data and green finance initiatives across several Indian states, including digital decision-support tools for agricultural adaptation and advisory support to state governments. He has also contributed to sustainability, circular economy and stakeholder-engagement projects with the World Cocoa Foundation and Landmark Group across Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

Yasar holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance from Alliance Manchester Business School, where he was a merit scholar and received accolades for his work on climate finance and circular economy innovations. He also holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

Outside work, he enjoys sitcoms, and board games. He is based in WRI’s London office.
