Meaghan Cuddy
Our Ocean Conference Secretariat Manager
Meaghan Cuddy is the manager of the Our Ocean Conference Secretariat, housed in WRI's Ocean Program. She has worked on the Our Ocean Conference since 2022, supporting meaningful policy outcomes for the ocean through this platform.
Previously, Meaghan worked at the United States Department of State, where she supported the development of international policy related to the ocean-climate nexus, including climate impacts and ocean-based climate solutions, sea-level rise, and ocean acidification. She also supported negotiations of the Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ Agreement, or the "High Seas Treaty") and participated in the United States delegations to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change COPs. Prior, Meaghan worked to advance public understanding of ocean science and policy at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
Meaghan holds a Master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin Marine Science Institute, where her work focused on ecology and biogeochemical cycling in seagrass ecosystems.
