Forest & Land Use Program Manager, WRI Brasil
Gustavo Pacheco is the Forests and Land Use Program Manager at WRI Brasil. In this role, he helps translate the program’s strategy into concrete results by connecting the technical, financial, and compliance management of its projects and initiatives.
He manages the team responsible for organizing programmatic processes, monitoring project implementation and budget execution, managing strategic indicators, and consolidating technical and financial reporting. His work helps ensure the quality of deliverables, compliance with institutional and donor requirements, and alignment between the program’s priorities and their implementation.
Before joining WRI Brasil, Gustavo worked as a Project Analyst at CDP on forest-related initiatives funded by international donors. He also served as a project coordinator at an environmental consultancy, where he led forest restoration projects and pilot agroforestry initiatives integrating crops, livestock, and macaúba palm for the sustainable production of biofuels.
Gustavo holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and a postgraduate degree in Environment and Sustainability from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).
