Gideon is the Manager of Finance & Operations for the Food, Land, and Water Program at WRI. He will oversee strategic financial management and operations to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in achieving WRI's mission

Gideon is a highly accomplished finance and operations leader with over 10 years of experience in financial management, including budgetary control, award management, risk & compliance management, operations, and donor relations. His career has been anchored in strategic business support, leveraging people and process optimization to drive operational efficiency for impact.

Before joining WRI, Gideon served as the Global Finance Lead at Hivos, overseeing complex, multi-million-dollar donor-funded projects across four regional hubs in 14 countries spanning Africa, Asia, and MENA. He has also held key roles at World Vision International, African Population & Health Research Centre, and Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF).

Gideon holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Management) from the University of South Africa and an MSc in Development Finance from KCA. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (Kenya) and a Certified Project Manager (PMD Pro).
