Beatriz Ferreira is a Senior Climate Finance Analyst in WRI Brasil's Climate, Economics and Finance (CEF) Program. She conducts research, data analysis, and engagement activities to scale, accelerate, and monitor mitigation and adaptation finance for climate justice, with a focus on decarbonizing hard-to-abate industries in Brazil.

Prior to joining WRI Brasil, Beatriz worked at large private financial institutions, assessing the impact of climate change on financial risks and supporting portfolio decarbonization strategies. Before that, she worked at WayCarbon, where she developed climate action plans for local governments, as well as climate risk and adaptation projects for the energy, mining, and financial sectors.

Beatriz holds a degree in Economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), is certified in the CFA Climate Risk, Valuation and Investing program, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Sustainability Studies at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).
