Sakshi Jain
Project Associate, Sustainable Cities and Transport, WRI India Ross Center for Sustainable Cities
Sakshi Jain is a Research Associate with the Urban Development program in the Sustainable Cities and Transport team at WRI India. She works in Dehradun city on Local Area Planning (LAP) and Town Planning Scheme (TPS). She coordinates with Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) in preparation of concepts, detailed drawings, cost estimation and owner consultations as part of AMRUT sub-scheme by MoHUA, Government of India.
Before joining WRI India, Sakshi worked as an Urban Consultant for projects like – U.P. Pro poor tourism for Buddhist Circuit in Sarnath and Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, Gwalior Smart City Project and was briefly involved in preparation of GIS based Haridwar Master Plan-2041.
Sakshi holds a bachelor’s in Architecture from D.I.T, Dehradun and a master’s in Urban Planning from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. She also holds a post-graduate diploma in Application of Remote Sensing and GIS with specialization in Urban and Regional Studies from IIRS, Dehradun.
