WASHINGTON (July 17 2023) — World Resources Institute (WRI) is pleased to announce that Helen Palmer has joined as the new Chief People Officer. In this role, Palmer will lead WRI's global Human Resources (HR) function, overseeing the organization’s effectiveness and change management processes, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) policies and programs. Palmer will be based in the United Kingdom.

Palmer has over 25 years of experience as an HR professional, working across all facets of the HR function in large, global organisations. She comes to WRI after nine years with Kelly Services, a market leader in the outsourcing, consulting and staffing solutions industry with over 8,000 staff across 21 countries.

Most recently Palmer served as Vice President and Head of International HR, leading all people practices including talent acquisition, employee relations, learning & development, DEI and succession planning for their international business units. Previously, Palmer was Head of Learning and Development at Reed Specialist Recruitment.
