Virginia Bergamaschi Tavares
Senior Urban Mobility Analyst, WRI Brasil Ross Center for Sustainable Cities
Virginia Bergamaschi Tavares is a Senior Urban Mobility Analyst at WRI Brasil. She works in projects related to clean mobility and public transport quality. During her career at WRI Brasil, she has already worked on SimBRT development of models and improvements, on the elaboration of evaluation criteria for sustainable urban mobility projects and on the implementation and preparation for day one of operation. She has also developed projects related to air quality.
Prior to joining WRI Brasil, Virginia worked on a research project, titled “The Use of GPS in the development of origin-destination surveys,” at the Laboratory for Transportation Systems (LASTRAN) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
Virginia holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from UFRGS and a master's degree in Transportation Systems from the same University.
