Valéria Blos
Senior Fundraising & Donor Relations Manager, WRI Brasil

Valéria Blos is the new Donor & Fundraising Manager at WRI Brazil, and will be responsible to develop, implement and manage a strong fundraising structure for the organization. In coordination with the Global Development team, she will join efforts to design proposals and to leverage strategies for development and financing, in close partnerships with all different WRI´s areas.
She holds a bachelor in Public Relations from UFRGS, a postgraduate certificate in Gender Studies from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, is a MBA candidate in Applied Economics at FIPE/USP and fellow on the Rotary Peace Fellowship - professional development program. Valéria has courses in design thinking, fundraising (major donor / tax deduction laws) and humanitarian response to conflict and disaster. She is certified in PMD Pro II and in communication and neuroscience.
Valéria worked in the private sector in organizations such as Braskem S.A, in the public sector, and in social and humanitarian organizations in Brazil, Portugal and Greece. She act as institutional development coordinator at SOS Children's Villages Brazil, grants & corporate partnerships manager at World Vision Brazil - with a deployment with the global fundraising team at World Vision International during the first months of the covid-19 emergency response in 2020 -, and philanthropy officer at UNICEF Brazil, where she worked until joining WRI.
She loves to cook different recipes, to exercise, get to know new places and watch interesting movies. A curious person, she loves to study and is always open to learning new things. In her free time she also adventures on painting and on home decor, and whenever possible celebrates time with friends and family, which in part lives in Rio Grande do Sul, her home state in Brazil.
