Tyler is a Research Analyst II for WRI U.S., working for both the Climate and Energy teams on domestic policy issues. His work focuses primarily on driving climate and clean energy action at the state and city levels while laying the groundwork for future federal progress. He has engaged in policy work at a bioenergy company and in Congress, and has had journalistic experience at The Nation and at the Reykjavik Grapevine.

Before joining WRI, he worked for an environmental consulting company and spent time researching and implementing sustainability improvements on-site at Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation.

Tyler is currently a Master of Environmental Management candidate at the Yale School of the Environment. He holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies (Policy Concentration) from Colby College in Waterville, Maine and spent a semester studying sustainability in Copenhagen, Denmark.
