Sujata is an Associate with WRI United States. She focuses on modeling policies to decarbonize the economy in ways that reduce racial and economic inequality.

Prior to joining WRI, she helped found a public charter school network and went on to work in grant and project management at the International Rescue Committee. She holds an MPA from Princeton's School of Public and International Affairs, where she studied economic policy with a certificate in environmental policy and completed a capstone project on agricultural solar feeder development in India. She has a B.A. in Public Policy with a concentration in Economics from the University of Chicago.

She enjoys baking, running, and Bharatanatyam.
