Specialising in Asia-Pacific policy and projects, Steph is passionate about contributing to change on complex conservation and sustainable development issues in the Indo-Pacific region by working with governments, business and not-for-profits.

Before joining WRI, Steph worked for Taronga Conservation Society Australia where she held several roles including in the Executive Office and the Welfare, Conservation and Science Team. Through Taronga, Steph proudly worked with the International Rhino Foundation to design and build eco-social programs supporting habitats, communities and Rhino populations in Indonesia. Another prior role was working at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Sydney advising on Australia-Indonesia relations and programs.

Steph has a Bachelor of Asian Studies from the Australian National University and a Graduate Certificate in Business (Public Sector Management) from the Queensland University of Technology.

Currently based in Sydney but originating from the Victorian Alps, Steph is a country girl at heart and an enthusiastic snowboarder.
