Shruti Dayal
Associate, Climate Program, WRI India
Shruti Dayal is an Associate with the Climate Program at the World Resources Institute India. In her current role at the institute, she works on climate and energy modelling to examine possible decarbonization pathways for India, compatible with just transitions.
She has over three years of experience in Sustainability, Low Carbon Technologies, and Industry Transitions. Prior to joining WRI, Shruti worked at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) with a focus on decarbonization of India’s Heavy Industry. She examined scenarios for industry transitions, particularly for the iron and steel sector. She was also a contributing author to a first-of-its-kind comprehensive report on the potential role of hydrogen in decarbonizing India’s energy system and industry.
Shruti holds a Master of Sciences (MSc.) in Economics from University College London (UCL), and a Bachelor of Sciences (BSc.) in Economics from the University of Warwick.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and travelling.
