Sarah Richardson is an Intern with the Forest Legality Initiative, assisting efforts to combat illegal logging through innovative wood identification technologies. Sarah collects and condenses public policy research, and analyzes geospatial data.
Sarah is in her senior year at the University of Maryland, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Policy with a focused interest in protecting and conserving the world's forests.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors, walking around art museums, and reading.

The Forest Legality Initiative (FLI) works to achieve better forest management and governance through preventing illegal logging and supporting legal sourcing.
