Ryan Whittemore is an Energy and Engagement Analyst for the WRI-US Energy team. He works to support the execution of renewable energy goals through policy implementation and technical assistance, with a specialization in local adoption of clean energy provisions laid out in the Inflation Reduction Act.

Prior to joining WRI, Ryan developed his expertise as a growth strategy consultant across the technology, Industrial and healthcare sectors. He spent two summers working for the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust providing grant and communications support and was a member of the Heartland-Kalmanovitz Labor Capital Strategies Fellowship group run through Georgetown University.

Ryan holds a B.A. in Politics from Bates College and wrote his undergraduate thesis on the role of transnational climate NGOs in state and local politics.

Ryan resides in Washington DC with his partner, Arianna, and two cats, Chimi and Churri.
