Rushabh Soni is a Project Associate with the Energy Team at World Resources Institute India, where he works primarily on Energy Governance. This includes working on energy policies, research related energy transition, energy efficiency and energy access with focus on addressing challenges in the energy sector.

Prior to joining WRI India, Rushabh has worked as Maharashtra state project lead for implementation of Rural Feeder Monitoring Scheme. He gained experience of policy analysis while working as a Regulatory Analyst at Radicali where he provided compliance consultancy to the fintech industries of countries in Asia-Pacific. He gained research experience during his engagements with IIT Kanpur and Council on Energy Environment and Water (CEEW) where he worked on Electricity Open Access, Electric Vehicles and Energy Efficiency.

Rushabh holds an M.Sc. in Regulatory Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and B.E. (Electronics) from University of Mumbai. During his master’s he has been trained on multi-sectoral policy research and analysis and has special interest in energy, financial and environmental sectors.

Rushabh likes to read about history and loves travelling, trekking, and going on bike rides.
