As the digital marketing and content manager for the World Resources Institute, Rocío Lower is focused on implementing a data-driven approach to the organization’s digital efforts. By combing her strategic and tactical expertise, she collaborates closely with key staff to deliver content that is on-brand, furthers organizational priorities, and is relevant to WRI audiences.

Before joining WRI, Rocío worked for nearly six years managing the National Park Foundation’s digital communications. In this position, she set the strategy and executed the organization’s presence across social media platforms, as well as leading the development of engaging content from blogs, to videos, to live social moments with influencers.

Rocío’s passion for conservation is rooted in her experience growing up abroad, including the nine years she lived in Brazil. Her background as a third-culture kid nurtured in her a fluency and commitment to interpersonal and intercultural communications. Rocío holds a master’s degree in public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in international studies from The Ohio State University.
