As part of the International Climate Action initiative as a Research Associate, Mima contributes to the team’s efforts to support the implementation of the Paris Agreement, including planning and co-leading research and analysis, especially on adaptation, loss and damage, and the Global Stocktake. She also co-manages Allied for Climate Transformation by 2025 (ACT2025), a consortium of thought leaders committed to addressing these challenges by informing and influencing the UN climate negotiations.

Mima first joined WRI as a Research Specialist to the Chief of Staff and General Counsel, where she helped equip the leadership team with objective and complete information for programmatic and operational decision making.

Prior to joining WRI, Mima worked on the Paris Agreement as part of the Philippine delegation to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. She also worked on projects relating to forest management, sustainable oceans and clean energy with the Ateneo de Manila University - School of Government in the Philippines, and was part of the Programme Team at Greenpeace Southeast Asia.

Mima holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in European Studies, with minors in Hispanic Studies, History, and Philosophy from the Ateneo de Manila University, and Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

Mima is a dog lover, an avid reader, and a cinephile.
