Meseret Shiferaw
Associate II

Meseret Shiferaw is an Associate II in The Restoration and Cities4Forests team based at Addis Ababa, WRI Africa Office. He works with the public and private sectors to increase financial flows to trees and forests in rural and urban settings in Ethiopia.
Prior to joining WRI, Meseret worked as a Business and Value Chains Program Manager at Dan Church Aid(DCA). He was leading the private sector engagement initiatives while promoting agribusiness and creating market access for smallholder farmers. He worked as a focal person for a P4G Sustainable Food Platform(SFP) project in Ethiopia and created an active platform at national level for SFP in collaboration with Commission of Environment, Forest and Climate Change where national P4G is hosted.
Meseret holds B.Sc in Plant Sciences from Haramaya University in 2004 and M.Sc in Agricultural Economics from St. Mary's University in Addis Ababa. Meseret Lives in Addis Ababa.
