Meredith Hess
Associate, Water Program

Meredith Hess is an Associate with WRI's Water Program specializing in research, stakeholder engagement, and project management. Working across the Program's various projects and initiatives, she largely focuses on developing fit-for-purpose data platforms that meet user needs. Previously at WRI, Meredith has also been a Program Coordinator and Grants and Finance Specialist for the Water Program, providing support to the Program's Global Director and leading the operations for a variety of projects across the Program.
Prior to joining WRI in 2019, Meredith worked for Habitat for Humanity International where she was a member of the Global Design and Implementation team and supported water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), energy, and land tenure initiatives.
Meredith holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Davidson College in North Carolina and is currently pursuing her MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford.
In her free time, Meredith enjoys watching soccer with family and friends, being outside whenever possible, and continuing to find the best cup of coffee within walking distance of wherever she is.
