Mary Helen is the Program Management Specialist for the Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. She works to develop, manage, and analyze program and project management datasets from across the Cities Program network. Using that information, she communicates trends to executive leadership and project managers via interactive dashboards and reports so that they can make data-driven decisions. She also supports the Cities Program and Project Management Office's larger efforts to develop project management knowledge and capacity. She does this by supporting the development of templates and guidance, and by providing direct support to technical teams and core functions.

Prior to joining WRI, she conducted oral history research with coal mining communities in Central Appalachia and served as an intern at PBS Books.

Mary Helen holds a B.A. in the History of Human Rights and Social Movements and a minor in Statistics from Duke University. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, reading and writing about human migration, and playing soccer around D.C.'s green spaces.
