Marie is leading the Open Timber Portal (OTP), a platform increasing transparency in timber supply chains, thereby reducing incentives for illegal logging and, ultimately, reducing forest degradation and deforestation. Marie sets the OTP vision, strategy, and theory of change for scaling its use and impact. She oversees the management of the OTP team of 10+ staff, consultants and implementing partners. Marie leads fundraising efforts and represents the OTP internally and externally coordinating and overseeing outreach and engagement efforts to increase the uptake and impact of the OTP.

Marie has been working for more than 15 years developing and managing local or national organizations in the field of sustainable forest management and biodiversity conservation. She worked for the Forest Stewardship Council as FSC France Executive Director, developing its resources to build a robust team of professionals that successfully raised the profile of FSC in France.

Before coming to WRI, Marie worked as a Sustainable Forest Management Expert for WWF Madagascar. She also worked as a consultant for the French Development Agency with WWF France and the CIRAD and for the European Commission.

Marie was a member of Max Havelaar France board of directors in 2012-2013.

She holds a masters in Forest Management from the French National Engineering School for Forests and Water Management and Rural Development (ENGREF).

During her free time, Marie enjoys walking the talk by greening her lifestyle, like growing organic vegetables to cook healthy food for her kids or finding tricks to minimize waste at home.
