Mahima Kakani is the Lean, Design & Systems Thinking Intern for the Global Restoration Initiative.

She graduated from NYU Stern in December 2020 and studied Finance and Sustainable Business. Mahima was the President of NYU's Net Impact chapter and helped grow the sustainable finance, social impact consulting, and diversity and inclusion programs.

As a Millennium Fellow with the United Nations Academic Impact, Mahima created a sustainability and climate action curriculum for elementary school educators in underrepresented communities. She also participated in the Stern Program for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) and explored the role of fintech in furthering financial inclusion and economic policy goals.

Mahima is based out of New York City and plans to pursue a career in ESG investing and sustainable development in the future.
