Bio

Madeleine Walshak is an Intern in the Virtual Events & Communications, NDC Partnership department. She supports the NDC Partnership Support Unit’s Events Manager in day to day tasks connected with virtual events, such as meetings, workshops, webinars and forums.

Prior to joining WRI, Madeleine held positions at the Edwards Aquifer Authority’s Communications & Development department, a regional water management agency; and the Texas Butterfly Ranch’s Monarch Butterfly & Pollinator Festival, an organization that raises awareness and understanding of wildlife pollinators – using them as lens through which to view complex issues such as migration, immigration, climate change and sustainability.

Madeleine holds a B.A. in Economics & Environmental Policy from Trinity University. Prior to graduating, she founded the University’s Climate Action Coalition and was the recipient of the Presidential Award of Excellence.

Madeleine lives in San Antonio, TX.
