Lidiya Kassahun is a Global mobility Intern. She works at the WRI Ross center for sustainable cities and supports the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative's(TUMI) team on its goals toward advancing clean mobility and public transport electrification.

Prior joining WRI, Lidiya was an Investment Promotion Advisor at German International Development agencies(GIZ) working on Green People's Energy for Africa project, on this particular role Lidiya supported local renewable energy companies in getting access to finance and business development training. Lidiya also worked at the Ethiopian Investment Commission where she engaged in the design of Investment promotion strategy and Investment law reform.

Lidiya Kassahun holds a B.sc in Geology. She received a prestigious Joint-Japan World Bank scholarship and currently studying Masters in Development Practice at the University of California Berkeley.
