Lidia Henderson (she/her) is an Associate with the Electric School Bus Initiative. She provides school districts with technical assistance and support to help reduce the barriers in transitioning to electric fleets. Lidia was previously a Research Associate on the Global Electric Mobility Team. During that time, Lidia led programs, communications, and technical assistance webinars to advance transit bus electrification in the global south. She also worked on research projects related to low- and zero-emission zones.

Prior to joining WRI, Lidia was the Program Manager at Empire Clean Cities, a New York City-based environmental nonprofit and U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities coalition. She discovered the Clean Cities Network while living in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she was the Electric Vehicle Projects Coordinator at Blue Planet Foundation and Sustainable Transportation Coalition of Hawai'i (STCH).

Lidia has a M.S. in City and Regional Planning from the Pratt Institute and a B.A. double major in Environmental Studies (Policy) and Spanish from Colby College. She was part of the 2021 Clean Energy Leadership Fellowship in New York.
