Leah Schleifer is a Research and Engagement Associate on WRI’s Water Program. She researches the linkages between water, climate change, energy, and cities, as well as the inclusion of water in policy decisions and planning. She works with the Aqueduct team, leading engagement with the platform’s users, including companies, governments, and academics. Leah was previously a Communications Specialist for the Water Program, where she devised outreach strategies and helped launch projects including the Aqueduct UpdateParched Power, and Integrating Green and Gray: Creating Next Generation Infrastructure. Prior to this, she was an intern on WRI’s US Climate team, and has interned at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Department of Energy.

Leah holds a Masters in Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy, both from the University of Maryland in College Park.
