Bio

Lauren Thuringer is the Grants and Finance Specialist for the Sustainable Ocean Initiative. She works to expand the Ocean programme by overseeing budgets, grants, contracts, and subcontracts for the Sustainable Ocean Initiative.

Prior to joining WRI, Lauren worked in grants management at Challenging Heights, a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to ending child trafficking, reducing child slavery and promoting children's rights in Ghana.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Saskatchewan and a Certificate in Jazz Studies and currently lives in London.
