Katy Kelly is a Grants and Finance Specialist II with the New Climate Economy team. Prior to joining WRI, Katy worked at USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance as a Program Grants Assistant with the Gender and Protection Team. In this role she assisted gender and protection technical advisors and Agreement Officer Representatives with award making and award management activities.

Prior to joining USAID, Katy worked at the human rights and democracy watchdog organization Freedom House as a Development Associate.

Katy holds a Master of Science for Social Policy and Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science, with a research focus on NGOs and gender & inclusion. She also holds a dual-degree Bachelor of Arts for Government & Politics and Communications from the University of Maryland.

Katy lives in Washington DC where she enjoys going on long runs in Rock Creek Park, visiting DC's many museums, and exploring the DC restaurant scene.
