Katie Ross is a Senior Associate with WRI’s Climate Program. She supports countries in developing mid-century decarbonization strategies and enhancing their mitigation commitments under the Paris Agreement. Katie also leads WRI’s engagement with the Climate and Clean Air Coalition.
Prior to joining WRI, Katie was a Principal Advisor at Promethium Carbon, a South African-based climate change consulting firm. While at Promethium Carbon, she advised international organizations on greenhouse gas reporting and climate strategy development, as well as implementing projects under the Clean Development Mechanism. Katie has also worked with governments in southern Africa on developing their commitments under the Paris Agreement and reporting to the UNFCCC.
Katie holds an MPhil in Energy and Development Studies from the University of Cape Town, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
