Kat Carroll
U.S. Energy Research Analyst
Kat Carroll is a Research Associate on the U.S. Energy team. She supports the Energy Program's work with cities and communities through the U.S. DOE Clean Energy to Communities Peer-Learning Cohorts, though which she coordinates cohorts on diverse topics such as electric vehicle planning, community engagement around transportation, and agrivoltaics. She also supports communities working on elective pay and collaborates with WRI's Environmental Justice and People Centered Transitions team on areas of equitable energy strategy.
Prior to joining WRI, Kat worked at the Hudson Valley Regional Council on the New York State Clean Energy Communities Program and Climate Smart Communities Program. Kat holds an M.S. in Environmental Policy from Bard College's Center for Environmental Policy, and a B.S. in Environmental Science from Creighton University in her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska.
Kat lives in Kingston, NY, and enjoys board games, coffee shops, and spending time outdoors in her free time.
