Ivan Amanigaruhanga is a natural resources management expert specializing in sustainable energy promotion in Africa.
Ivan holds a Master of Science in Environment and Natural Resources, with 16 years of experience in Eastern and Southern Africa. He has worked for renown international conservation organizations such as Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International, Uganda Wildlife Society, Sustainability Research Institute (UK), and CARE International and the Advocates Coalition for Development and Environment (ACODE). He has implemented a regional clean energy program across 8 countries in Africa with energy projects in Uganda, Zambia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, DRC, Madagascar and Mozambique.
Ivan has researched and published widely in the areas of sustainable energy, climate change, wildlife management, petroleum development, nature conservation, collaborative natural resource management approaches and social development in general. Ivan has key strengths in research, advocacy, partnership management, resource mobilization and stakeholder engagement.
