Inder Rivera
Manager of Clean Energy, WRI Mexico

Inder is the Manager of Clean Energy at WRI Mexico, in charge of renewable energies, supporting private companies to understand the nascent opportunities to acquire renewable electricity in the new regulatory framework and promoting the development of renewable energies.
Previously, he worked with development banks and multilateral entities: Inter-American Development Bank, German Development Cooperation (GIZ), low-emission development program of the American cooperation agency (USAID); focused on the development of clean energy in Mexico with a focus on distributed solar generation. He also worked at G-Advisory, of Garrigues Group (the largest European law firm), a technical energy consultancy firm for large scale projects (utility scale).
He is an Electrical Mechanical Engineer at the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), and a teacher of Sustainable Energy Systems and Socioeconomic Evaluation of Investment Projects at the Universities of Edinburgh and Panamericana, respectively.
