Fanwei Liu is a Global Clean Energy Intern in the Energy Program. She provides research and coordination support to the Global Energy Team's various initiatives, focusing on renewable energy projects, including emerging and innovative technologies across East and Southeast Asia and Latin America.

Prior to joining WRI, Fanwei worked as a research intern at Greenpeace Beijing, Overseas Energy and Renewable Energy Investment Team. She supported the team with policy research and monitoring, data collection and analysis, and report writing and publication.

Fanwei holds a B.A. in Mathematical Economics from Scripps College. She is pursuing her Master's degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on renewable energy and sustainability.

Fanwei is originally from China and lived in California before coming to Philadelphia, PA.
