Dedy Mahardika is an analyst with the Climate Program where he leads the research portfolio in the field of the climate negotiation especially transparency and climate actions for non-state actors. His current focus is the data and ambition loops and how it would help increase national and regional climate ambition.

Dedy leads the project that will assess the opportunity and challenges of the Science Based Targets implementation in the Southeast Asia region as a corporate strategy to align their emission reduction targets with the Paris Agreement. Before that, he handled the research and engagement for the project that aim to increase the climate data and ambition in Indonesia through the enhanced data management and incentive schemes, where it assesses the harmonization of corporate climate reporting systems in Indonesia.

Dedy holds a Master of Science in Environment and Energy Engineering from Kyungpook National University, South Korea and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Universitas Indonesia. He joined WRI Indonesia in 2017 as a young researcher of Wahana Riset Indonesia (Science Laboratory). Music and badminton are the things that he does during his leisure time.
