David Garbutt is an Institutional Strategy Manager in the office of Strategy, Learning and Results. He supports execution against WRI's ambitious strategic plan by building out internal processes to ensure WRI delivers results against agreed goals and objectives.

For almost a decade prior to joining WRI, David worked in the large commercial and specialty insurance industry. He held various positions across Operations, Corporate Strategy and Climate & Sustainability. David worked on significant transformation projects including post-acquisition mergers, organizational redesign and expense reduction initiatives.

David holds a B.A in History and Ancient History from University of Exeter (UK), this included a study abroad year in EWHA University in South Korea.

David lives in Jersey City, NJ. with his wife, Carol, and son, Benjamin.
