Communications Manager, Corporate Relations
Daniel Baker is the Communications Manager for Corporate Relations at WRI. Daniel elevates and amplifies the work of WRI's impressive experts as they work to reduce emissions from the private sector. He is passionate about building a more just and equitable world.
Daniel has 12 years of professional experience in journalism and communications. Starting his career in journalism, Daniel worked as a national radio, TV, and podcast producer for nearly a decade. The highlight: helping launch SiriusXM FC, the nation's first (and still) 24/7 broadcast station dedicated to the beautiful game. Since then, he's led communication efforts for multiple nonprofits and start-ups.
Daniel earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park's prestigious Philip Merrill College of Journalism (2012). He earned his Masters of Public Administration in Environmental Policy from the University of Colorado Denver (2022).
Daniel lives in D.C. and enjoys getting outside as much as possible to hike, cycle, spend quality time with friends, and play soccer. An avid traveler, Daniel has visited 26 countries, but still wants to visit another 24 before he turns 50.
