As a Greening Youth Foundation Fellow, Dalais Bailey is an intern supporting U.S. International Engagement under the Climate Program.

Prior to joining WRI, Dalais worked in agricultural research focusing on food safety and microbiology. Her research focused on developing an environmentally safe, minimal process technology to inhibit the growth of microorganisms on food surfaces. Through her University in collaboration with Cornell University, Dalais provided technical assistance to local and small produce growing communities on best practices and regulatory compliance under the Produce Safety Rule.

She holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Prairie View A&M University and Alabama A&M University.
