Babatunde Fakuade
Executive Assistant, Global Restoration Initiative

Babatunde Fakuade is an Executive Assistant within the Global Restoration Initiative. He works to expand GRI’s administrative efficiency by overseeing various administrative projects & initiatives within the department.
Babatunde holds a B.S. in Hospitality & Tourism Management & from Delaware State University’s College of Business. In 2016, he was granted admission into the Americorps program City Year to do a year of service in at risks schools in Washington DC. In this space, Babatunde worked under the educational non-profit to focus on building students social, emotional and academic skills. His early professional background in education features lead teaching (3rd & 8th grade), curriculum development for in school programs & program management for educational non-profits.
Prior to joining WRI, Babatunde worked as a meetings & events planner, business manager, and executive assistant. He held administrative & event management positions at the Washington Hilton & other consulting / event management groups. As a first generation Nigerian – American, Babatunde takes pride in assisting with the development of cultures & communities domestically & beyond.
Babatunde lives in Baltimore, Maryland with his fish, Jessica.
