Asena works in WRI’s Core Communications department and is the Event Coordinator for WRI. She works with program staff to plan, develop and execute the institutional and programmatic events. She works closely with WRI researchers and staff to deliver key outcomes through organizing panels, conferences and webinars.

Prior to joining WRI’s Core Communications team, Asena worked in WRI’s Executive Office and worked closely with the leadership team at to provide key planning and organization for WRI’s growing international network. Earlier in her career, Asena worked as a paralegal in downtown D.C. and in advocacy and outreach at Amnesty International.

Asena is currently a graduate student at American University School of International Service, studying Global Governance, Policy and Security. She has a B.A. in Political Science and International Affairs from Salisbury University. She lives in Washington D.C. and enjoys art, yoga and traveling.
