Arnold Cruz is the Program Manager, School District Fleet Transition for WRI’s Electric School Bus Initiative in supporting an equitable electric school bus fleet transition in NY State.
Prior to joining WRI, Arnold was the Program Manager-Transportation Category for Amazon’s Global Procurement Operations team working in collaboration with public transit agencies and local/state transportation departments to provide Amazon Associates safe, reliable, affordable, and sustainable modes of commuting using public transportation. Additionally, Arnold expanded NYC’s Citi Bike system and e-scooter program while at the New York City Department of Transportation. Arnold is a strong advocate for sustainable modes of transportation such as biking, public transit, carpooling and electric vehicle usage aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and provide safe, livable cities.
Arnold holds a B.S. in Environmental Science with a focus in Geography and Urban Planning and a Certification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Spatial Analysis from the University at Albany.
Arnold lives in Queens, NY where he spends his time exploring the streets of NYC using Citi Bike or walking through his neighborhood. Arnold is an avid runner, weightlifter, world traveler and you can find him rowing at Flushing Meadows Corona Park on the weekends with his dragonboat team.
