Abdul Khalid

Abdul Khalid is a Project Associate with the Energy Program of World Resources Institute, India. He supports the development of the Energy Access Explorer for Indian geographies.
Abdul comes to World Resources Institute India with an extensive experience in environmental and geospatial background. He has previously worked as a Project Associate at Vastum Management Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, for feasibility analysis of plastic waste management in Guwahati. He also held the position of environmental engineer at Greentech Enterprise, Guwahati. He has experience designing treatment plants, preparing thematic maps, and addressing solid waste management activities.
Abdul holds a master’s degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from NERIST, Arunachal Pradesh and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Royal School of Engineering and Technology, Guwahati, Assam. Additionally, he holds a PG diploma in Geoinformatics from Accelcraft Institute of Geoinformatics, Guwahati, Assam.
In his free time, he likes to play the guitar, sing, explore art and learn more about his areas of interest.
