Smart Infrastructure

America's "D+"-graded infrastructure system has recently been thrust into the national spotlight, thanks in part to the prospect of bipartisan federal cooperation to address crumbling roads, bridges, drinking water pipes, and transit systems. WRI understands the crucial role that infrastructure investments can play, either locking us into a fossil fuel-dependent future or supporting cleaner, more equitable and resilient communities. Since early 2017, WRI has been working with a bipartisan group of more than 50 organizations to work toward low-carbon infrastructure policy solutions.
