The World Bank has translated the executive summary of WRI’s recent publication The Next 4 Billion: Market Size and Business Strategy at the Base of the Pyramid into Japanese. The translated PDF is available at Nextbillion.net.
Several large corporations have expressed interest in this research, a trend sure to accelerate now that it is also available to a Japanese audience.
Said WRI’s Bill Kramer at a May 23 event in Tokyo, “As a market approaching $4 trillion, Asia represents the largest opportunity for beneficial business engagement with low-income communities…Companies in Asia are leaders in BOP innovation, and that Japanese companies are waking up to the potential is a real tipping point.”
