EMBARQ initiated its involvement with Istanbul in the summer of 2004, to address the rapid motorization, pollution and congestion problems. EMBARQ is working with the city to:
- achieve a more efficient transportation network;
- improve its urban mobility and accessibility; and
- provide qualitative and quantitative input into the development of air quality standards.
