CAIT Historic allows for easy access, analysis and visualization of the latest available international greenhouse gas emissions data. It includes information for 186 countries, 50 U.S. states, 6 gases, multiple economic sectors, and 160 years - carbon dioxide emissions for 1850-2013 and multi-sector greenhouse gas emission for 1990-2013.
The availble data collections are:
- CAIT Country Greenhouse Gas Emissions - A six-gas, multi-sector, and internationally comparable data set for 186 countries
- CAIT U.S. State Greenhouse Gas Emissions - A six-gas, multi-sector, and comparable data set for all U.S. states.
- UNFCCC Annex I country-reported greenhouse gas emissions to the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Data for Land-Use and Forestry indicator are provided by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
