Laura Tangley is a science journalist with a long-standing interest in the conservation of forests and other ecosystems, particularly in the tropics. She has written many articles on these subjects, mostly for BioScience magazine, where she was features editor until 1988. When Trees of Life was published, Laura was associate editor of Earthwatch magazine.
