Laura Tangley is a science journalist with a long-standing interest in the conservation of forests and other ecosystems, particularly in the tropics. She has written many articles on these subjects, mostly for BioScience magazine, where she was features editor until 1988. Ms. Tangley was also associate editor of Earthwatch magazine and co-authored the WRI book Trees of Life: Saving Tropical Forests and Their Biological Wealth.
