Working with EPA and other federal agencies to help design, inform and clarify U.S. government activities to reduce greenhouse gases.
The Obama Administration has committed globally to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by 17% below 2005 levels by 2020. To reach this goal, the Administration is developing standards for combating harmful emissions. WRI engages with federal agencies, offering guidance as the agencies shape policy and take action. WRI also works to educate a variety of stakeholders, including Congress, business, and state and local governments, about the impacts and value of these federal policies.
